Experience our Courtyard through a Workshop!
The spirit of The Pelican Courtyard is perhaps best experienced by one of our workshops. Connect with friends and neighbors by attending one of the many classes and speaking engagements held on a rotating basis each month. Our calendar changes frequently and new vendors are always joining our fold! Reserve early - spots are limited to ensure appropriate social distancing.

Learn to Play: Ukulele
Join husband and wife team Pat and Kim O'Brien during one of our popular ukulele classes. You'll get plenty of practice with fundamentals taught by Pat and get some foundational music theory from Kim. Open to all levels - beginner to advanced. Don't have an instrument? Kim can help you pick out one of your own to purchase from the broad assortment at Seaside Gallery & Goods.

Charcuterie Workshops
Loryn Purvis of Picnic Grazing Co. hosts a rotating schedule of interactive charcuterie workshops here in the Pelican Courtyard. Participants create their very own 10-inch charcuterie board based on the focus for each class which changes regularly. These are a popular draw and classes typically sell out. At the end of the session, all participants will take home their own board to enjoy at home.

Candle-making
Join this fun and interactive soy wax candle making workshop with Michelle Bendetti of Bramble Candle Co! You will learn all about different waxes, wick sizes, pouring temperature and candle curing and have the opportunity to select your own fragrances and vessels. Take home two candles, personally made by you - to enjoy at home.

Floral Workshops
Join one of our floral workshops where you'll learn the basics of floral composition and get guided instruction on how to pull together a professional looking arrangement. All materials will be provided to ensure a beautiful creation to take home and enjoy.

Print-Blocking
Explore the art of hand block-printing using traditional techniques! You'll receive a step by step guide to the printing process using authentic wood blocks from Elizabeth's own collection. You'll enjoy this immersive experience in pattern, color and design, with guided instruction from expert designer Elizabeth James. You'll take home a finished product with colors and patterns you'll choose yourself.

The Seaside Speaker Series brings together various speakers, authors and public personalities for informative live Q&A sessions with a live local audience, right here in our Pelican Courtyard. Most sessions are moderated to ensure a smooth conversational flow, allowing ample time for audience engagement. These are popular dates and reservations are limited.
